I have a b30b civic. Juss had new gaskets all around, new ecu harness, iacv, cap, ignition coil, plugs nd wires. My car will run fine the. Out of no where it will spit then the gauges drop then it cuts off nd takes like 2 min to turn on cus all it will do is crank then it turns on. Sometimes it spits nd jerks then will run for a lil then spit nd jerk nd cut off again. My mechanic said it's either the dizzy or the ecu cus he literately fixed everything on my car. He said it sounds like a bad dizzy. My dizzy has a lil chip abt a quarter inch wide missing nd idk if that can cause anything. Help please

Oh, you mean distributor! I see!!! Honda distributors are junk-o-riffic. A bad distributor has many symptoms. I had a remanufactured distributor on my truck and whenever the engine bay was hot it wouldn't want to start. I think perhaps a contact inside the distributor was moving when it was heated... No idea what the hell was going on with that thing but I messed with it until it left me stranded in my drive way.

I'd attack the distributor first... That's just me.

Oops i meant b20b lol nd My mechanics thinks it's the distributor but I wanted to asked to get more advice cus I was stranded for 20m til it started back up.

Also for anyone who can answer this.. If a rotor button (distributor rotor) goes bad can it cause the car to misfire, have bad acceleration? Etc..
