Default 93 eg b18c1 swap... why is it rich at idle and fine at cruising?

93 civic w/ obd1 b18c1 swap running a b18c1 basemap minus iab's and knock sensor.

unfortantely my car has to go through the state emissions one last time... and it failed due to running too rich at idle.

now what would be causing it to idle rich and fine when crusing?

I've checked everything that I could think of at the moment... mechanical timing and ignition timing is dead on, plugs and wires are only a year old, no vacuum leaks. No cels so i'm assuming o2 sensor is still good.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I only have until the end of this month to pass and get new tabs.

The CO and CO2 are actually lower at idle. That is not running rich. High HC could be due to misfiring.

Since they don't measure NOx you could also try advancing the spark timing.

Thanks for the info. I'm at 16°btdc. I'll try it at 18° and see what happens. I didnt get a chance to drive my car very long before the test.... only for like 15 minutes then tested.
