300-350 whp is a LOT for a del sol, its not impossible or even that hard to achieve (given the right budget) but know that a 200-250whp del sol can be faster than a 300-350 whp mustang or camaro. I would suggest taking time to read through these forums, do some searching, read the FAQs and some build threads and try to educate yourself a little about Hondas

You will need to go turbo to make those kinda of numbers. Depending on what model B18C (ITR or SIR-G), you may have to swap to lower compression pistons. This will give you the opportunity to use forged internals and have the block sleeved.

Honda's are small, light & efficient. You should probably just swap it in and see how you like it stock first before spending many thousands building the block and adding a turbo system.

thats good advice, I would swap first then decide if you want more power. My swap is bone stock right now (except for bolt ons) and its still quick as hell and a rush to drive, plus its extremely reliable and gets crazy mpg.

Mine too. 34-36 mpg while still blasting up freeway on-ramps is just ****!

200whp in a lighweight Honda is already fun, quick, and reliable. Swap first and cruise around stock to see how you like the feel and mpg...

Unless your friend broke it, it'll just drop right in. Unless he's telling you it needs a rebuild or something. Hopefully you'll get a chance to drive it in his car before you buy it. What makes you think it needs a rebuild?

I would just turbo that d16z6, and build up on that, and boosting the **** out of it. sounds cheaper than the whole swap ordeal + boosting, when a D series engine, can handle a good amount of boost.
