93 Del sol eg front, turbo, tucked, BUILT
This is my 93 del sol. I bought it as a work car and ended up falling in love with it. and that was the snowball that started the avalanche. This car was a complete bucket with more rust than any project car should start with. I wont bore you with the body work pictures but a lot of days a spot weld drill and some work with the welder and both complete quarters got replaced as well as doing the EG front end conversion and here is what was the end result before starting this years project...

a lot of those pics are from 2008 Import Alliance when i took it down there people have posted it on here in the picture thread for that event. All that was done to it at that time was obviously the body, some kyb struts and coilovers, a b16a sirII swap, and some bolt ons. As of January this year i took it all apart and started to finish the car. I pulled the engine and started the following:
My Garrett 60-1 stage 3 turbine with stage 5 compressor.
Whole table of go fast goodies
Eagle H beam rods
CP 9:1 forged pistons
supertech block guard, dual coil valvesprings, flat top stainless valves, and titanium retainers
Skunk 2 Pro 1 cams

before i pulled the engine to gawk at how the ram horn looked it is a slowmotion motorsports custom made ram horn with a flange for a tiall 44mm wastegate
pulled the engine bay needed a lot of work to clean it up.
stripped the block and installed the block guard before sending to the machine shop
Picked up this discontinued jg edelbrock manifold ill recondition it to use on my setup but for half price im not complaining.

Slowmotion turbo oil line kit.
Precision 650 horse intercooler and my valve cover after welding in the catch can bungs. also removed the oil baffle in the valve cover to prevent possibility of metal shavings getting in the oil from the bungs being welded in.
picture of what ports looked like before i ported them
And after

Bottom end coming back together after having rotating assembly balanced. I set all of my oil clearances to .002" with all oem bearings. I used a GSR main girdle and main caps. new oil pump and gsr oil pump. balanced within a tenth of a gram, ARP head studs.
head is going back on. after i ported and polished it i sent it to the machine shop and had it decked to true it up, a new 5 angle valve job, hot tanked and bead blasted, he also lapped my new valves and installed the valve springs, retainers and valves.
engine completely together. I have 1000cc injector dynamic injectors, skunk 2 pro series cam gears, skunk 2 pro series 68mm throttle body, and all new oem oil pump, timing belt, water pump, and all new oem gaskets.

engine and trans finally together. all painted and fresh. new hasport race mounts, and act stage 4 unsprung clutch
pics of the plugs i used for the firewall. didnt want to weld up the firewall. i like the clean oem look just fresh and tucked. just the way i like it doesnt mean that there is anything wrong with completely shaved bays i just like it this way i shaved all the spot welds on the core support and on the strut towers but other than that it is just cleaned up and painted champ white to match.

Re: 93 Del sol eg front, turbo, tucked, BUILT
here are some pics of my home built not bought harness:
whole harness is completely shrink wrapped this shows how i brought all wiring under manifold and split it out.
Injector wiring with new ends for the bosch injectors.
distributor wiring and also vtec wiring is in with it.
LOL
removed dash and heater box and moved all connectors for engine behind center console as to help hide them
how i exited the car with the wiring for headlights and stuff i ran it thru the subframe to help protect it.
wiring for the wiper and brake reservoir switch come up from that subframe where it just entered vehicle.

Re: 93 Del sol eg front, turbo, tucked, BUILT
thanks fellas. i dont have that much to go and it will be running and off to the dyno. Im going to get some d2s for it to keep the purple accent scheme. then i need some traction bars. as for looks im not going too crazy but i want a vis cf lip, black housing headlights, apr mirrors, and some crazy jdm sol pieces. and obviously wheels i want either some 16 inch black regamasters, 16 inch mugen mf8s, or some 15 inch mugen m7s or work equip 08s let me know what look you guys think would be the best im kinda up in the air.

Re: 93 Del sol eg front, turbo, tucked, BUILT
progress has slowed on my sol a little bit due to getting my daily done. i got an 01 crv 5speed, black on black, with leather and im having the typical b20 valve seat issues with cel for running rich and a slight misfire at idle. im sourcing parts at this time to do a vtec conversion with a b16 head i just got and some supporting mods end result is problem fixed and more fun added in the process. getting my head fixed will cost about the same as doing it this way and the way i figure it this will be a lot more fun.
