93 civic tranny wont go in

Default 93 civic tranny wont go in

having trouble to put the tranny in any tricks??? 5 speed 93 coupe. does it slide in or is it soposed to be pressed in with the bolts?

are you working by yourself?? get a helping hands from one buddy.
It should go in easily when you have someone holding it so you can line it up and push it in.

pick it up so you can get the mainshaft into the clutch...jiggle it around if you have to...

Once you get the trans almost in there (About 1cm away from the block), you can start putting the bolts in and just tighten the bolts to walk the trans back in

its always easier if you have someone to help. not to mention if you have never done it before or have limited in tools.

Listen to this man, thats how i got my friends trans in. ******* thing took forever, also you have to just keep pushing that **** in. Its a bitch.

yeah you gotta phenaggle(sp) it in. took me around an hour with a friend helping, athough his way of helping was telling me jokes

last time doing a tranny swap I have that same problem, it took me a near 3 minutes to get it in.

thanks proly like 2 - 3 ppl tomrow yesterday it took me a day to get the pilot bearing out im use to rwd cars. diz my friends civic the first time i threw da tranny in was easy but the clutch snapped never but a pepboys clutch reason he bought on cuz he was in a rush and low on money he had to buy a new tranny. the reson is its hard to lign up the back bolt of da tranny the one dat goes from da block into da tranny. hard to line up.
