93 civic problems (wiring)
hey guys, im new to the site but came for some help, i saw one of the mods help someone out so i figured maybe id give it a shot,
im okay when it comes to getting the motor to run properly, but now im trying to get the inside to work properly lol
anyways i think i have some bad wiring in my car somewhere as my dome light decides to work 1 % of the time, also ive seen the back light in my ac turn on once, it was neat!
those two things would be nice to fix but my main problem is as follow's
when i turn my car on front lights turn on, when i turn my lights on my speedo cluster turns on and my break lights, but when i turn it again nothing happens, i feel like i shouldn't have any lights on when i start the car unless i turn on lights. this car is from Florida, but now its in Canada, and it does have "made in Canada" under the hood
i hope i was sufficient enough with my information
oh and there isnt a after market cd player

Re: 93 civic problems (wiring)
Could be grounds, clean battery terminals and test voltage. Has anyone messed with the wiring harness? Should be above 12 volts when car is off

i had the same problem, what it turned out to be was a dead short in the starter. replaced the starter, problem solved. I spent hours troubleshooting my harness as mentioned here, and the ignition switch. take a test light and start at the battery and work your way down.
