93 Civic LX idle question
Hi. Just bought a 93 Civic LX with automatic tranny. Runs fine, but was pinging on acceleration. Suspected timing, found it was advanced too far, set it back to factory specs, no more pinging. But, my idle is now a bit low, around 500. I was expecting an idle adjustment on the linkage, sort of like idle screws on a carburetor. But the only screw I could find was that real flat one facing the passenger side, near the throttle cable, and turning it clockwise makes the engine slow down.
So my questions: is this the idle adjustment screw? Backing it off brought the idle back up, but only to about 500-600 rpm. Can't make it idle any faster, I think specs for an automatic are about 700. I didn't disconnect the IAVC, or whatever that's called, when adjusting idle-- is that the problem? Also, I pulled the backup fuse after resetting idle. Does that reset the ECU? Why isn't it the ECU fuse that should be pulled, to reset it?
Anyway, thanks for taking my newbie questions. I'm used to working on my 67 Mustang and 73 Ford truck, so I'm kind of lost on this Honda.
Ps: Anybody know what engine is in a 93 Civic LX/automatic? Where do I look to find out?

Factory specs are 600 +/- 100. Your fine at 600.
The backup fuse is what you pull because when the car is off it is the only path for power to the ECU.
The engine code is on the front of the block to the left of the header next to the transmission. Should say D15...something or other.
