Default car dies at idle but runs right.

come on pple work with me...this cant be that difficult, someone must have the answer..

when i crank up car initially it starts rite up...with a sketchy idle, then it warms up and goes to normal idle and thats sketchy too...

if i give it throttle during idle n e time after its warmed up or turn on ac at idle it dies...

however...i can drive it down the street just fine.

runs fine.

pulls fine.

cant even tell n e idle problems

Did this just start happening out of the blue? Have you followed the procedure for setting the idle? If not try this first and then you might also want to try and clean the IACV.

To set idle:
1. let car completely warm up
2. disconnect IACV electrical connection
3. adjust idle screw until rpm is ~600
4. stop engine, plug IACV back in
5. pull 10A radio fuse to reset ECU....put fuse back

be careful with that. you need to find what your issue is. the chances of your issue being your idle screw with what you described are very, very low. check your engine codes, if any. check your vacuums. i'm surprised that this happens with the a/c being turned on, though. what happens if you are driving, turn on the a/c, then stop.

and, when it dies when you give it gas, does it die like it's drowning, or does it rev up then die after you release the throttle?

I had my car die with the A/C running, it was from a bad IACV since it holds not just a steady idle but idle under load. When they're bad the idle will drop to the point of stalling when putting electrical load on the engine and they only throw a code if not detected so you can have a bad one without showing a code.

I have delt with this issue a few times. Here are the issues that caused it.

1. Bad engine ground, engine ground was loose and engine was not getting a good negative amount of energy.

2. Timing was off a few teeth. Car drove fine, no cel lights, but the teeth were off and it wouldnt idle, but it would run.
