93 civic dx mirror question
hey guys. im new to the site and new to hondas, so please take it easy on me. My question is i have a 93 civic dx which only came with 1 mirror which is broken itself. everywhere i search for on the web doesnt or wont tell me if they come with the adjuster lever when i ask about them. the reason i say they is because i want to put another on the passenger side. any help or answers will be greatly appreciated. thanks

Re: 93 civic dx mirror question (93dxslpr)
dude ur best bet is to just get some aftermarket mirrors like the spoon style mirrors on ebay, they are adjustable on the mirror itself. im in the same boat as you, i just gotta figure out how to take the old mirror off, and the plate on the passenger side.

^^^^i was in this same situation about 3 years ago myself with my 92 hatch. U pretty much have to take off the whole door panel to take off the mirrors. There are 3 screws holding it in place. 1 plastic one towards the front in the little spot that gets blocked by the dash when u close the door. 1 in the little pocket on the armrest part of the panel. and 1 more in the door handle part, which u have to hold the handle open to be able to unscrew. And the most pain in the *** part is the little clip holding the window crank in place. This one gave me a headache but i eventually got it out with a little screwdriver, but u could use anything small enough to get it out. Then, u pretty much pop off the panel carefully, and then pull off the little black trim piece covering the screws that hold the mirror on. And there should also be one covering the side with no mirror, u just pop that one off as well. U can just get two stock mirrors and bolt them right in with no problem and put everything back. I also didnt have a passenger mirror on my car from the factory but it doesnt matter it just screws in as well. And to the OP, YES each mirror has a little lever that goes through a hole in the door to the inside of the car to adjust it from the inside. hope this helps cuz if it doesn't then i just wasted like 10 minutes writing this lol. If anybody has an easier way to do this please let us kno
