92 hatch/D15b2 block-D16z6 head/P06 ECU - ckp code but I don't have one
'92 hatch. Mini-me swap. D15b2 bottom end, D16z6 head. P06 ecu. Engine runs fine. No misfires or anything to lead me to believe there is a problem at all. Pulled the CEL codes and I have one for the ckp. That for a crankshaft position sensor. This engine doesn't have one. Is there a way to trick the ecu into thinking there is one there? Tired of seeing the CEL on all the time when that's the only code that's being pulled.

Re: CEL on, pulling code for ckp. i don't have one
The CKP is in the distributor, its not the CKF. Common confusion. You distributor is bad and will need to be replaced. The CKP sensor is not replaceable.

Thanks for the tips. The first post links to an ODBII ECU. Pretty sure that the P06 is an ODBI setup.
Here's the deal on what's up with my hatch. I purchased it with a d16z6 that slung a rod bearing 2 days after I purchased the car. My bad on not changing the fluids after purchase. Looked all around for a replacement d16z6 and couldn't find one that didn't already have a bad bottom end. Ended up picking up a mini-me already assembled. Swapped the engines and it fired right up. I was getting a couple different codes and found out that I had swapped a couple of wires around (IACV and something else right next to it with the same plug end). After I did that I cleared the codes and pulled a code 4. Since the mini-me came with another dizzy I just swapped them out and it's still pulling the same code. Car still starts, idles, runs all the way through the rev-range. So, are both the dizzy's bad? If they are that kinda sucks.
