Re: 92 hatch back needs a diet ne weight loss ideas (jdmsirIIboostin)
good luck. Start cutting things out . I think the car ways almost 2800lbs without a driver (thats for the si and not the GVW) I am not sure about any of the others. Even if you have the base model I would guess it around 2500lbs. To drop almost 700lbs to come in at your target weight is not going to happen (500lbs for the car and 200lbs for an avarige male =700lbs)

All of what you just typed is grossly incorrect. Thanks for playing though.

I am only giving him an est. he wants a 92 hatch to weigh in at 2000lbs with driver, the gvw on an si is around 3200lbs my si on the scale came in around 2800lbs with 2 people in it. So if he gutted the interior already that's good for around 140lbs that gets him to 2660. Do you see were this is going

Link to my hatch, gutted and then some.
In addition to losing the interior, remove the wiper motor, power steering, washer fluid tank, PS fluid tank. Get lighter battery, lighter wheels, and lighter suspension components and you should be good

It's going towards you assuming he's got an Si? He may not have an Si, so he may actually have a shot at getting it to 2000lb. Remember Si is ~230lbs heavier than the CX/VX.

Hey dumbass: the GVW is how much the car weighs when fully laden. The Si weighs about 2350 pounds, if that.

Before you polute this thread with any more of your stupidity, perhaps you should read the above thread and stop assuming

Re: 92 hatch back needs a diet ne weight loss ideas (jdmsirIIboostin)
sorry if i didnt look at the link for the exact weight but i remember the cx/vx weighing in at 2094. this weight does not include the options sucks as a/c, radio, ect...
with that said, there is a link out there by user name= VX
look up his thread about removing a bunch of interior. you can also go beyond that by replacing part with lighter aftermarket parts such as a carbon fiber hood, trunk, doors, fenders.
and for the extreme and not recomended for street use, or even track, you could remove the bumper supports in the front and rear, cut out and replace heavy thick flooring in the rear of the trunk with thinner sheet of aluminum. be aware this will alter your rigity of the vehicle and should it get into any accident or even go through the stress of high power, you could really mess up the vehicle.
that will be $25.95, next window please
