92 eh2 (eg)cx SPEEDOMETER/ODOMETER not working AUTO/manual swaped ---
I will try to keep this brief yet through informative bare with me please read all of it. I bought a 1992 cx shell (originally 5 speed car) with a rewired in-car harness previous owner said it was from a 94-95 AUTOMATIC integra. He told me he changed out the in-car harness because the other one shorted out/caught on fire. I put a complete d16z6 swap in the shell with a chipped P28 ecu (5speed). Recently got it running and noticed i kept hitting "2-step" rev limiter set around 4,5k. Speedometer does not move Nor the Odometer "count or go-up". I have changed the VSS out with 3 other speed sensors i had laying around and 1 for sure working off my other car. i changed out my cluster in the shell with my other cars cluster which i know for sure works and still nothing. I "disabled" neutral safety switch with a looped wire (NOT SURE IF THIS COULD CAUSE A PROBLEM). I have a few random plugs disconnected/not plug in near the fuse panel (under dash) but everything else seems to be working fine in car just no Speedometer... I checked my speed sensor plug on engine harness and looks alright to me no rips. With key-on position i checked with multimeter voltage levels. left side of plug gets 5v middle is grounded and right is 12v. I've ONLY read/seen ONE other auto-manual swap that they needed to re-wire cluster plug to make the speedometer work is this correct or was this just one guys problem? Thats about it for diagnosis for right now but any thoughts/input would be appreciated. PROBLEM IS CLUSTER AND ECU IS NOT GETTING SPEED READINGS i could hook up my hondata and use datalogging to see if the ecu see's speed readings but still doesn't make sense to me that i keep hitting 2-step so obviously somethings wrong. NO CEL'S (no 17) #15 FUSE NOT BLOWN. Do i need to plug in all the random stuff unpluged to solve problem?
