92 Eg. When driving at normal temp car starts to bog & shuts down & wont start back
I HAVE A 92 EG WITH A D16, WHEN I DRIVE IT AND WHEN IT GETS UP TO NORMAL TEMPERATURE, IT STARTS BOGGING AND SOUNDS LIKE ITS MISFIRING AND SHUTS OFF COMPLETELY AND WONT START BACK UP UNTILL THE NEXT DAY OR WHEN ITS COOLED DOWN. I WAS THINKING IT WAS MY FUEL PUMP THAT WOULD GET HOT AND WOULDNT WORK ANYMORE UNTILL IT COOLED SO I REPLACED IT AND IT STILL DID THE SAME, NOW IM THINKING ITS SOMETHING WITH MY DISTRIBUTOR COIL OR THE DISTRIBUTOR ITSELF. ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS.
Update: I just checked the coil and primary is at .8 ohms and specs are 0.63-0.77, secondary is good i got 17.20k ohms, and specs are 12.8-19.2k ohms, possible faliure of primary winding?

Yeah my next step is to switch out the dizzy. But i wanna be sure about it.

I had similar problems like this, not exactly the same, but the best thing would be, being able to swap with a known first before you bought one.

So i just checked the resistasnce on primary and secondary winding resistance on the coil. On primary i got .8 ohms, specs are 0.63-0.77 ohms, and for secondary i got 17.20 ohms, and specs are 12.8-19.2k ohms. Possible falirure of primary winding?
