Default 92 D15b performance mods

Right guys just after buying a 92 EG Civic with a D15b engine and im looking for some help on performance upgrades for the engine. Living in Ireland so an engine swap is out of the question as insurance would increase to much. The car already has carbon fibre bonnet, adjustable shocks, more or less stripped out on the inside and for performance for the moment I have a spoon panel filter installed and a 2.5" straight through exhaust from the manifold back. Anyone have some good relativley cheap suggestions? Was looking into getting a V-Tec controller but is it really worth it?

You could either build it for all motor, do a homemade turbo or put a bottle of Nitrous on it.

Since your not from here go with whichevers cheaper.

might go with the nitrous down the line, what I had in mind where part swaps like new cams and manifold, I here the stock manifold on these engines restricts a lot of airflow, lads that put the straight through on for me said a 4-2-1 would give an increase in hp. What kinda increases am ilookin at in hp by changin the cam and manifold? Another thing im pretty new to the honda world so was wondering is there a gearbox out of any other honda that would pop stright into mine and give me closer gear ratio's?

bolt on's on dseries are not really worth it imo. na d-series are $$$ for not that much power. i take all the money from bolt-on's and boost it , i bet you'll be pleased with the results.

I have to agree , after i first bought my civic and did the whole i/h/e deal I was still let down , definitely just start saving for a HMT .
