Default 92 Civic won't stay running

Ok I have a 1992 Honda Civic 4 door with a D16Z6 vtech swap. When i try to start the car it will start if it has been sitting for a while and i am heavy on the gas when turning it over it will start for a few seconds but then just dies and i get a ticking noise from down where the ECU is. My thought is maybe the person that did the swap didnt switch out the D15 ECU with one for a D16. I could be wrong that is why I am posting this, so could that be what it is? If not what could it be?

No it was running but if they didnt use the right ECU it would have ran for a while like it did until it fried the ECU. The dude supposedly knew what he was doing because he was suppposedly a mechanic

Doesn't matter the ecu, the car will still run.

I dont trust anyone when it comes to cars... The guy I bought my hatch from said that he fixed the damage from an accident the "right way"... Well, his "right way" is going to the body shop today and getting $600 in repairs. take out the engine harness and ecu and start over.

Do you mean the MAP sensor? That would without question throw a MAP sensor code.
