Default 92 civic idle problems!!!! help!

Hello. I have a 1992 Civic with a b18b swap. The idle acts really weird, when i start it up it bounce back and forth from 1200-1500 until it warms up, then itll sit a like 950, like theres no problem. Ive changed the IACV and FITV, is there something im doing wrong or anything I can do to correct the problem?? Thanks!

check the valve at the bottom of the hose that goes from the manifold to under the manifold. I couldnt find the problem when my car idled stupid. and it turned out whatever was inside that plastic valve came out.

Idle surge, so much fun.

You said it will settle down to 950 or so; this same problem I had on mine for a while. Thought it was the same things that have been mentioned previously.
Ended up being my base idle was set too high. There should be a flat-head idle adjuster screw in the throttle body. Try adjusting your idle lower, cause stock idle for most d series engines(if i'm not mistaken) is 750 +/- 50rpms.
May sound like a small adjustment but it may just solve your problem.

If not get some carb cleaner and turn the engine on; then spray around the IM, IACV and TB; the carb cleaner will temporarily seal the leaking gasket which will help pinpoint a vacuum leak. Find a leak, replace the gasket w/ new.

The air pocket thing. Just ttake the radiator cap off, start the vehicle and put the blower on high and hot. Let it sit for 20 minutes idling, should push most/if not all air out of system. Top off and seal.

Hope it helps out meng.

P.S- What ECU are you running?
