Well, I wanted to post this and see what the civic tech geniuses think about it. For the last couple weeks my car has been doing this annoying **** where it will start up and then stall right away (gas pedal does nothing). After this it will refuse to prime when I click the key to the on position (main relay problem most likely). So, after taking 20 minutes to get started after work today I decided to try and tackle the problem.

It's important to note that every time I turn the key on, the main relay clicks (I can feel it when I hold onto the main relay).

So, we started off by testing the voltage at the fuel pump. First click it lights up, every click on after that--nothing. OK, so we assume it is, in fact, the main relay so we switch it out for an extra one we had laying around. Same issue. Begin thinking that it may be wire related or something (which would suck ***) and then I decide to throw my dad's Integra GSR main relay (exactly the same) into my car. Well, it primes every time and no more starting issues.

Well, this is where it gets interesting. I get curious and decide to throw my old main relay into my dad's GSR. I do it and his car primes and starts up every single time... So I ask you oh great Honda-tech geniuses, how the [freak] is this possible?

We are going to leave them like this and see if my dad has a similar problem or if I continue having the problem. Hopefully it was a fluke think and there will be no more issues, but I still am curious as to if anyone has any idea what could be going on.

Cliffs: Main relay "goes bad" switch main relays with my dad's GSR and both cars start up fine (his car has my main relay that "went bad").---WTF?
