Default 92-95 EX/Si cluster problem - temp

I just switched to 1995 EX gauge in my 1993 civic DX and everything seems to work fine except for the temp gauge. It is appearing to overheat but its not. I checked everything and even put my old one back in and it is not overheating, just the EX temp says I am. Help? Also the fuel says its full but its only a little over half full (according to my old one and the last time I got gas.)
Thanks

with your temp guage, i dont know what to tell you man... i remember messing with my guages when i first got it and swap over the odemeter then my temp wont work until 4 months ago when i relized the screws was not in tight enough

but with the ex gas guage, mines is lower then it really is... i think becuase of the very huge dx gauge the ex one looks lower.... i dont really have a answer for yall but good luck.

i have a 94 si and my fuel gauge is ****, its horrible, after like 100 miles it says i only have a half tank left and then from 200 miles to 300 miles it will be on the E,its been like that for as long as i've had the car, i think its cuz the tank is only 11 gallons so it moves around alot. with the temp i dont know what to tell you other than check conections and you sensors in the engine.

Could you pull the needle off and move it? I know you can't do that with the tach and speedo, but maybe with the temp and fuel?

I thought about switching needles but its like its normal but its just wrong. When I start the car with a cold engine it reads cold but just slowly gets warmer until it reaches red so I really thought I was overheating but I checked everything and I wasn't so I had to put my stock gauge back in to know what my real temp is (which was normal, not hot) but I want my tach back Maybe I'm supposed to reset my ECU after??, btw I still have a d15b7 not d16z6 or any other sway...yet.

my STOCK cluster was doing this (cx) so i put in an EX cluster and everything worked perfectly, maybe the cluster is broken, in my case with the same problem thats all it was, or it could be the connection from the plug to the cluster, try to figure out which wire it is and follow it to the plastic plug, then check that spot on the cluster (where the plug goes in) and make sure the copper isnt warn away or something. You can try going to a junkyard that has an ex/si cluster and see if they will let you plug it in and turn on your car to make sure the cluster you have isnt broken, if the new cluster doesn't do it then the cluster is broken, if it still does it then its probably the wiring or something. It's probably the cluster since your stock one was reading fine. And with the gas guage, my gas guage doesnt move hardly at all for the first half tank (it will say i'm at 200+ miles on the first half of the tank!), then it just moves really fast for the second half of the tank. Probably just the different sized tank and sending unit than the guages were made for (thats just a guess). hope this helps.
