92-95 civic fitting a type R steering wheel

i am thinking bout putting a 2001-2005 type R steering wheel on my, 93 civic hatch, has anyone else done this, and what kind of modification do i need to do to get it to work. also i dont have airbags in my civic.

A DC2 (94-01) steering wheel will fit on an EG.

A EK (CTR) steering wheel will NOT fit. I could be wrong, but I believe if you look at the back of the steering wheel, the DC2 has a horizontal groove, and an EK has a vertical one.

Should you want an airbag equipped ITR wheel, this will work too. I believe you will have to change the pins on the plug. Thats it.

so...are the plugs physically different, or do the pins just have to be changed? Does anyone have a picture comparing the two srs plugs?
