is an 8.8lb flywheel ok to run on a stock car with an exedy organic?
i bought a streetlite (12.5) flywheel off of ebay, but it turns out the company was out of the streetlite, so they sent me the prolite (8.8lb) for the same price $225 shipped! So of course i went for it, all i have is i/e...header will come next, then nothing but susp mods for a while. My concern is that since this is my daily driver it will be a little too light....what do you think?
ps...I also heard that a light flywheel with a CTR or other udp is awesome, because your motor has a lot less to turn.....but it seems like a pulley wouldn't do that much

you are gonna get mixed opinions about this. some will say its ok and others will swear that its not. ive never driven a car with an 8.8lb flywheel so i dont know. but if you search you will find **** on light flywheels.

Best exp is personal. Talk to people who own a lighten'd fly wheel. not people who heard from a friend of a cousin of a dog's relative. lol.
I use my car daily. nO problems.

My friend is running a clutchmasters aluminium flywheel with a exedy organic clutch. I guess it's the organic clutch, but it's dang nice. Easier to drive than stock IMO.

i run a clutchmasters 8lb wheel with my aftermarket clutch and no problems. I get some studdering on take-offs sometimes but I relate that to the clutch set since I think I went a lil overboard on it.

"disclaimer"
I have been running this combo for over 10 months with no problems (2 diff motors). So not to say that it won't have problems ever but I never had one problem.....even with starting.

I have a 7 Lbs Fidanza with an Exedy clutch on my daily driver.. at first it's a lil annoying but you'll adjust to it.
EDIT.. when i say you adjust, you won't even notice it

WELL...i tried to install the flywheel today, and it must be the wrong one, because my stock flywheel bolts to the crank with 8 bolts, and this one only has 6 bolt holes. This really sucks....i want to drive my car, and the last thing i want to do is deal with shipping. BTW i bought the flywheel from a company called ketronsales thru an ebay auction. as previously stated they were out of the one that i originally ordered and now they've sent me the wrong one. They were ok to deal with, but this is just poor.

Sending you something else besides what you order'd is ****** retarded.
Go to Titanmotorsports or clutchcityonline after you get your money back from those morons.
