Default 555Rs+good cluch=broken tranny

Went to LACR yesterday, broke my tranny on 5th run. Second I got off the clutch......grrschchh. Best run was 15.7 @ 85 mph. Tranny would always grind third gear....so I guess it was already messed up. Now im wondering...if I get another tranny...will it break on me if i lauch, the way this one broke? BTW I have a RPS stage 2 clutch ( pressure plate, actually it uses the OEM clutch ) and nitto 555Rs, im sure those had something to do with it.

im sure that tires shouldnt have anything to do with , ran mine at lacr with stock clutch on slicks 13.96 with no problems . maybe to much pressure from the clutch , friend of mine busted his tranny , do to running an act clutch with pressure plate

I bought the car with the rollcage.

So its from the clutch...so after i get a tranny should i slip it from now on? Cause I dont want it to break again.
