5 wire oxygen sensor question
does any one know about the part numbers that will work for the primary oxygen sensor on an hx? browsing ebay i found a five wire sensor made for 03 accords and was wondering whether it would work on my 98. the parts should be nearly the same right? i could understand if the connector was different between the two different models and generations, but wouldn't most 5 wire sensors read the same information from the same wires? couldn't i just snip the connectors off and splice the wires? the reason to go through all of this would be that the accord one on ebay is about 1/4 the price of the civic part.

Re: 5 wire oxygen sensor question
The wideband 5 wire o2 sensors that are needed for the vtec-e motors are different the standard 4 wire o2. Unfortunatly they are really expensive i found one on ebay for like $200 or something like that. I had a wideband 5-wire o2 sensor on my vx it had 10,000 miles on it and i already sold it for $120 shipped, but i hope that helps. . . some.
