Default 5 LUG Suspension

What is needed to do the 5 Lug conversion? I need to know exactly what is needed. Im planning on purchasing everything from the dealer slowly. Also if you can supply p.n.'s that would be great. Thanks!

you'll need the suspension from a type r Teg. you can even find the complete kit on here. It's called the Market Place.

Don't purchase the parts from the dealer, you'll spend 4x what you would if you just bought the conversion on H-T.

Brakes, trailing arms, knuckles endlinks, lcas, I know I'm missing something else.

A few of the links I posted are complete conversions.

I hope you're not doing this for JDM stopping power, because to me it's a lot of $$$ to spend for not much more stopping power, JDM bling, and fewer wheel choices.

in the long run, it's cheaper to buy the whole thing from ebay or the for sale forum.
then if parts need to be replaced, then replace accordingly.

DONT BUY IT FROM THE FACTORY! THEY WILL TAX THE HELL OUT OF YOU.

Um, there's nothing wrong with buying used brakes man. Anything that's worn out were parts that are designed to wear out, pads rotors.

It's silly to buy it from the dealer. Send me the money you'd save, the used parts, and I'l de-rust them and hot tank them and they'll look like brand new.

You need ITR everything.

Once you're done, show me how much you spent on everything and I doubt you saved money buying it from the dealer instead of buying it used.

Besides, I'm sure it's hard for a dealer to source all of those parts in a timely manner.

It's also doubtful that the final cost will be less than a far superior after-market brake upgrade, which is what I'd recommend.

I agree, a wilwood setup or even spoon might cost less and give him far superior braking.

A good gsr rotors/pad setup will be similar to ITR braking power.

Over-rated upgrade.

i'm curious what this will run you in the end as well (if you don't mind sharing!).

i agree that if you're buying new, there are more cost-effective solutions out there (the wilwood kit comes to mind as well).

however, the Spoon calipers will require the use of ITR rotors unfortunately so they will probably cost more than a set of used 5-lug on the market place. I asked about the Spoon calipers for my EJ1 and it would've been a bit over $2000 CAD from A&J.

anyways, good luck with your build up dood. keep us posted on the progress and the price if you don't mind.
