3g gsr gauge cluster into 5g civic??
i saw on http://patriot.net/~merritt/tech.html that she put a gsr cluster into a 6g civic, im wondering how difficult it would be to do in a 5g? would the plugs just plug in? someone told me they'd plug in but a few wires would need to be rearranged?
any help would be appreciated.
thanks

it you might as well just put a whole GSR dash in that baby.. it looks great -- my friend WykidEG6 threw one in his hatch... looks great... do a search if youre interested -- there was a thread about it not too long ago.

That cluster fits really clean in there. What all did you do to get it to fit that nice? You've got me interested in doing this...... Are the plugs the same or would I need to get a cluster with the harness plugs too? Did you have to cut any of the plastic inside the dash or around the trim?

Just do it like Merritt and I did..... make a table. In one column list the pinouts for the DC cluster, then in the second column list all the pinouts for the Civic cluster. I am not sure if the Civic plugs will work in the cluster or not like the EK ones do. Just go to the junkyard and pull the harness out of an Integra and repin it to fit. It is easier to do once you think about it for a second.

Long thread about swapping the entire dash earlier and it included the wiring for swapping out the clusters like you wanna do. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=94431
Should be what you are looking for. The wiring really isn't all that hard, I was able to do it for a 6th gen gauge cluster without any wiring diagrams. Just traced the leads, took me like 45 mins. Probably been lots quicker with one though.
