then why does the carb specs call for one the car went from a d16z6 to a d16a do you know if this is considered a carb legal swap?

no its not smog legal to go from a d16z6 to a d16a6...you can only put in the same year engine or newer into your car legally

what year is the motor? bought it from a company in berkley they said it would be ok am i screwed? i have to smog by the end of march

d16a6 is 88-91 civic/crx SI, im guess you have an EG since your stock engine is a d16z6, give me a call 325-665-2168 and ill be able to help you out more, since i cant really understand what motor it is
