No, the D16z6 does not come stock in your car.

Sure, you can replace your D16z6, but ask yourself, is it worth it? Is there something wrong with your current motor? Why do you want to swap it?

The 88-91 crx si came with a D16a6.

The d16z6 came stock in the 92-95 civic si, ex, and the del sol si.

Swapping a motor can be anywhere between extremely easy and a complete headache depending on the person and what resources they have to do said swap; However, I personally think that anyone with half a brain and the drive to see the swap completely through can do it.

All of the information you need on how to perform a motor swap, what swap is best for you, how to change your clutch, etcetera can be found in the FAQ section.

to get a new d16z6 it will probably run you about 300-450 for a long block but if your head is good you can get a bottom end for like 150-250 (you could also get many other options of blocks and do a mini me where you put your head on something else). then when you do this i would replace your timing belt and water pump. also you will have to do your head gasket. i would have the block you get looked at by a shop to make sure it is flush and you might need a deck. same with the head. if you get a block from something other than the z6 you will probably need a few extra parts to compleat it but some engines you can get really cheep like older d15b2s. you can get these very cheep and use the block.

everything you need to know about this is in the forum just search. if you dont find it here use google everything you need to know is there somewhere.

first are 100% positive its a D16Z6? second make sure the motors seized, put a breaker bar on the crank pulley and see if you could get it to spin. no use replacing the motor if its still good. and if you do need to replace it as long as you have common knowledge and access to google you can do it

I just finished my first swap, and the only issue I had was wiring back together. If you need any help let me know.
