hey Ht. so im checkin out a car. with a d15b owner says its a 3 stage vtec motor. so it has 2 vtec solenoids? anyone have any comments. owner said he also put a y8 manifold. should i trust this motor? reliable? any input is appreciated. thanks

The engine is what seems to be a VTEC-E engine. It's basicly a very low emission engine and with better gas milage.

My suggestion is to read about it on wikipedia. I read it once but I forget what it was talking about.

check under the hood right behind the distributor. if there is 2 vtec solenoids, you have one of the rarest d series motors ever

basically right under the breather for the valve cover. see.. two vtec solenoids
