255 fuel pump on a stock 1.6 question
I recently bought a 94ex that used to be a swapped turbo car.
Well its all stock again, but still has the big fuel pump.
My question is what are my options to get my fp back to 38ish psi, from the 50ish psi its running now?
I would like to keep the pump incase I decide to do a swap down the road, but I would like to quit running so rich.
Thanks
-Dave

I didn't think it really mattered? I'm not sure about all this stuff yet but doesn't the ecu or something else regulate fuel flowing to the injectors?

aftermarket FPR, the stock one can't handle that pump you could also check the fuel return line and make sure its not kinked

Re: 255 fuel pump on a stock 1.6 question
go to a junk yard and yank a stocker, clean it up and make sure it works, or buy one on ebay...or just leave it the way it is, honestly since I upgraded mine I haven't seen any difference in fuel mileage. The only thing that would suck more gas in the engine is if you somehow upped your vacuum pressure... Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Ok, thanks for everyones responces. I guess I will look into a fpr, because I really don't want to remove the pump incase I want to mod down the road.

Is there any particular fpr brand that is better than other? I see there are some cheap ones on ebay, however it seems like you get what you pay for on there.
I'm just not sure if expensive is the way to go on the fpr, it doesn't seem like it would be rocket science to operate.
