Default 2500-3000RPM High Idle

My car is idling and staying between 2500-3kRPM steady when starting and stays there. Here is a quick rundown.. Its a 92 civic hb. I just swapped in a new d series motor cause my last one blew out. Everything is the same intake mani, I have a turbo setup, running with safc2 for right now. The trottle body cable is not tighten it is loose, i have messed with the idle screw and no changes. IV unplugged the map sensor on top the trottle bodie and no changes. I dont know how i can get the idle to go down. Please help. I am searching for similar problems, but any help is greatly appreciated.

OK, Ill try with some others I have if that doesnt work. What other sensors would affect and make the idle run so high? Pulling and loosing the trottle body cable has no affect or the idle screw.

FITV (fast idle thermo valve) or you could have a leak somewhere..a vacuum line or a gasket.

on the FITV can i take off the two screws and unscrew it and clean it and put it back in? Or should i take off the whole unit from the IM and clean it all?

ok, Is it common for this to happen? My car was down for about 6-7 months, the blown motor complete sat in engine bay, i replaced everything to new motor once i got it. IT was idling before around 900-1200rpm

manifold gasket, that or some major vacuum leak, or, while swapping the engine, you shook the throttle body up good enough for your Fast Idle Thermal Valve to come apart, so take it apart and put it back together if it has no leaks.

Did the car you pull it off have cruise control? There is a vacuum nipple for cruise control cars. Behind The intake mani. check for one. I had same problem.

I think I found the air leak.. When I was tighting down the fuel rail onto the injectors... On Two of the injectors O rings around the injector going into the intake. one side on each one O ring broke and pushed out I can hear air sucking from there and when i spray cleaner by it it idles higher.. Think thats my air leak problem? Im waiting on the O rings.. Whats that called the rubber ring?
