2003 Civic EX OBD code reader
Hello to all;
My wife has a 2003 Civic Ex that continues to display "maintenance required" on the dash. Saving some money from Honda Inc., I do the servicing myself and was wondering if anyone knows where I can purchase a OBD Diagnostic Trouble Code device that reads and clears codes.
thanks Mark...

Re: 2003 Civic EX OBD code reader (senseimark)
The maintenance requred light is just that, a light that goes off at a certain milage to remind you to do maintenance. It is not a check engine light. Look in the manual to figure out what it's for and how to turn it off.

The maint required is a dummy light for an oil change to get you to take it into the dealer.
It should have a slot on the dash near the speedo or tach that has a slot about the size of the key for you to push the button inside to clear that.

On the 96-00's. On the 7th gens, it's actually a light because of the digital ODO. I think you have to hit the trip odo while turning the key on or something like that, if I remember from my girls car.
