I think it can be used to route air to your CAI or shortram. Would be cool if they made one for the otherside, and you could route them to the brakes.

I am so sick of these for the 92-95 cars...can't find one for an EK

I think no matter what intake you have you'll need to attach somethign on the end of the duct so it can directly flow into your filter, it's not designed to like TOUCH or CONNECT with your CAI, in the pic you can see an air duct inside that probably connects to the filter.

I believe it just allows smooth airflow directly from outside to the hole near the fender on the passenger side... I think it would flow more cool air into your engine bay for your intake when driving and it looks good too...

Essentially no different from what I did 7 years ago on my old CRX with a 3" speaker port......

Again, this was waaaay before the CAI fad or even intakes were made but if you wanted something clean, just use something that is going to sit flush against the bumper. J's Racing did this with a carbon fiber piece for the EG and DC2-R front ends, and it looks nice, but really has no other purpose besides mounting flush on the bumper and looking nice.... they essentially do the same thing as if you were to put your own "speaker port" or something else there on the bumper, and run dryer hole behind it up to the filter.

i want one too, but the only intake ducts i've seen for the EK is the ram air headlight piece. something from the grill would definitly be better for daily use.

Only difference is the J's Racing piece is tapered. So its like a funnel grabbing more air and directing it into the opening.

DIY tip: buy a funnel (sizes vary) and modify it. with a heatgun, you can slightly change the shape and all that stuff.
