2000 si wiring harness problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i am having a problem putting a b16 in my 96 civic, i got a harness with my motor, and it has 3 plugs, the green body plug, they gry plug and the blue plug is doesnt have the 3rd and biggest plug? is it a 2 peice harness, if you look at the ecu it is the plug on the far left.....oh and i am using a skunk 2 obd2b conversion harness......how do i tell if my harness is obd2b or obd2a????? HELP

you can't use the 99-00 si harness in ur 96. the interior plugs are different. need 96-98 ex harness. easier to use than the si harness.

what do u mean interior plugs??? i got a ex harness but then i would have to get a obd2a conversion harness right

if you have a 96, use the harness you have. the one out of the 96. it is way easier to make the 96 harness work in your situation. search on this. it has been covered alot. also try this. it helped me. http://hybrid2.honda-perf.org/tech/6gtech.html

so do i need to get the obd2a conversion harness or can i still us my obd2b harness..........how much harder would it be to use my 00 si harness cause i actually have the dx wiring harness

if you have a 96, use the dx harness. you will need the si harness for the pigtails. i cant remember which wires you have to switch, i think they are a12 and a14 PLEASE CORRECT IF I AM WRONG. but then, use the si iac pigtail, match the wires and terminate the one not used, and again cut the ckf sensor pigtail, use the 2 wires and ground the 3rd. if you have no idea what i am talking about, i am sorry. i cant really explain it much easier. if you use your harness (the 96 dx) you will not need a 2A to 2B conversion UNLESS you plan to use the 99-00 Si ecu. then you will need the 2A to 2B conversion. but the interior harnesses are different and you cant use the 99-00 si harness.
