hx's have vtec only it's called vtec-e. Nice looking car, 50k miles and it has the manual tranny is the what I liked about it. I'm not much on the rims but that is just my personal preference. 5 grand I feel like is a good price and it's a 2000 model, for some reason I see that the 99-00 are priced a lot higher than 96-98. Also the car is rated for 37/43 mpg so be prepared to have some extra moolah left over

if you knew anything about an hx then you would know that it still has vtec only it's called vtec-e

vtec-e - https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=445689

vtec - http://auto.howstuffworks.com/question229.htm

one thing I forgot to mention, the hx has the d16y5 engine w/ roller rockers and the ex d16y8 does not.

another link for vtec-e - http://www.leecao.com/honda/vtec/sohcvtece.html
