2000 Honda Civic - Dashboard lights not working
Hope someone can help me. When I turn my headlights on all my dashboard lights do not illuminate. I can't see anything. I do not know which fuse to change. I looked at the diagram for which one to change, so I tried fuse #10 and #30.
It's not really safe to drive around at night with no dashboard lights, I do not even know how fast I am going.
Thanks in advance!!

Ya know that might be it, although the **** is missing from it so I can't turn it. I even tried needle nose pliars. Any thoughts on how to turn this or get a new ****? Also, where would the plug be for this? If it is "unplugged".

Sounds like you just need a new dimmer switch. In the meantime, pry the switch out of the dash, unplug it, and then short the red wire to the black wire in the connector. The dash lights should now shine at full intensity whenever the lights are on.

Thanks for your help. Im not good with that stuff so I won't be prying out anything. I will just try and get a new dimmer switch. Do they sell these at any auto parts store?

Its a 2000 Honda Civic, the **** seems to be missing from the metal piece sticking out. They don't just sell the ****? I would need the whole mechanism? Not sure how I would get out of dashboard. I see other posts where the switch is on the side which seems a bit easier. Thanks for everyones help!
