2000 civic wont fire after it rains
I have a 2000 civic ex auto. The last couple days/nights have been raining, Every morning when I go to start my car, it gets nothing it turns over but no fire, after a while of trying the battery dies, I jump it try to start it some more then it eventually starts really rough and runs rough for a few minutes, if I leave the car running for a bit, it runs fine the rest of the day......unitl morning. It only does this when it rains. I checked the distributor cap for any cracks where maybe water could be getting it but everything looks good... Any ideas of whats going on???

Rain and humidity affects my ignition switch in a 93 del sol. I have to jiggle the key and put pressure on it when I turn the key to make contact and get the fuel pump to prime before it starts. Try turning the key with a little pressure to see if it makes a difference.

I might have to try that. I checked inside the distributor and everything is dry and the plugs and wires look okay too.

i would say mosture in the distributor cap get a new cap and gasket or simply dry it out and replace the gasket and hopefulley that does it
