Default 2000 Civic Si Timing Belt replacement ???

I'm approaching 60k miles and the dealer says I should replace the timing belt. He says that living in Las Vegas (high temperatures), can cause them to fail sooner.

Does this sound right?

Should/could I wait longer?

How much should a dealer charge?

thanks

the manual actually says 105,000 miles, and that's when I plan on doing it.

changed mine at 100,000 and just saw a little bit of wear. Don't listen to the dealer they just want your money and my $70 dealer Si book says 105,000 also. The book never mentioned having hot weather temps would change the life of the timing belt.
