2000 CIVIC SI Need help picking performance clutch!
I have a LS vtec motor and I'm trying to upgrade my clutch and maybe my fly wheel if the clutch isn't to much, I only want to spent 300 would be perfect but highest I'll go is 500 and fly wheel, I want to get around 150. Is this realistic? or is it gonna be more? All I know bout clutch is their is 6 puck and 4 puck which are the friction disc? ,and sprung disc are springs on the dics and are less stiff the un-sprung clutch correct? Also the clutch is fly wheel, clutch plate, pressure plate and housing right? and what you want to look for is how much torque it can hold, so I was thinking 350 lbs of torque capacity..cause I plan on going boost later in the near future... lol Stiffness matters..cause it's also a daily driver and weekend track car... oh and If I need to get a good clutch and in the future wear it out is it true i only haven't to replace....i don't remember what they said it was either the pressure or clutch plate? what I've been looking at is ACT 6 Puck, Product #AI4-XTG6 or exedy one...and a fly wheel from act....WHAT DO YOU GUYS GOT? HOW DOES IT WORK FOR YOU? WHAT DO YOU SUGGEST I SHOULD GET WITH ALL THIS SAID? LOL THANKYOU

LOL! I'm not sure how much torque i make now cause I built it with my friends not to long ago but it's a stock ls block and stock si head ...I'm still building it and what i'm planning to go boost later but still in the planning stage but i'm roughly guessing i want 350 torque capacity. and it's a street/daily driver..

x2
When you boost if its as soon as you say you can probably sell that one for a decent amount. Exedy makes some quality products.
I would look on CL first though, I've seen deals on like stage 2 clutches for 100 dollars BNIB because they didn't need it anymore.

Many brand names are good...
- as others have mentioned, Exedy is good
- Clutchmasters
- Centerforce
- ACT
- Greddy

Have had good experiences with Exedy both street/strip kits and the replacement organic kits (have it in my DX right now) and the stage 1 in my old Integra.

For an LS/VTEC? Exedy stock replacement. Unless you have plans for much more power everything else seems to be overkill.
