Ok here goes my new wifes car 2000 civic si has devloped a misfire. The idle is rough and motor act like running on three and half cylinders. Compression test out good 210 to 220 all cylinders. So pulled plug wires off cap one at a time while it was running and the only one that didn't affect how car was runnig was cly#3 all other it almost died till plugged wire back in there was spark from cap to wire until distance became too great. So replaced plug wires today no change. The cel flashed until rpms get past 3700 thenmisfire goes away. Got new coil to try tomorrow anybody have any help new to hondas alos has newer plug cap rotor

Has the car even had a tune up? Also, how many miles are on it?


Replace the plugs with a NGK's, and insure they are gapped correctly.

I would do cap and rotor and NGK plugs.
