Default 2000 civic si maintenance question

i have about 78k on my 2000 civic si. i wanted to perform some maintenance on it and was wondering on opinions. i only have an aem cai and i only daily drive it and never do any racing. i was wondering what are the best spark plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor to buy? should i buy all oem parts? i am also going to change the fuel filter. are there any other things i should do while performing this maintenance to my car? thanks for the help

just go with OEM parts. As for other maintenance, maybe change all the fluids such as transmission, brake, clutch, radiator. If you can do a vavle adjustment while youre at it too. Go to http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com for some good prices online. Goodluck man

Go to honda and pick you up the following:
Ngk plugs, ngk blue plug wire, (if they sell them) new fuel filter, dist cap, rotor button, run some fuel injector cleaner, maybe seafoam.. clean the air filter and you should be good to go!

thanks for the info. i had a question, is there a big difference between generic wires and the ngk blue ones from the dealer? how much should the wires alone be?
i already have had the timing belt, water pump, all accessory belts, cam and crank seals replaced

p.s. i am having problems finding some parts hondaautomotiveparts. i found the distributor cap and rotor but i can't find the spark plugs and wires. i already have the fuel filter so its no problem with that.

Look under the "High Tension..." header for the spark plug wires. Don't know if there's a price difference between the NGK's Blues and stock OEM....but if OEM was cheaper, then just go with it.

Valve clearance, O2 sensor (they do have a service interval of 75-90k), check the timing is about all I can really think of aside from what you want to do or have had done already.

Just make sure you get ngk plugs. I have had bad experiences with others.
