2000 Civic Si and Ex have same wire harness?
Just as the title says, do the Si and Ex from 99-00 have the same engine wiring harness? Let me know if you can.

I know they are damn close!!! I used my 98 ex harness for a 99 si motor, and only had to lengthen a couple wires...no additons or anything, so my guess is yeah they are the same except for a couple wires are a lil longer on the si harness

the ex and the si have different crank angle sensors. 2 on the ex 3 on the si. but 2 wires are the same the other is a shielding ground. not hard.

No, they are quite different.
Other than the fact that certain wires are shorter, certan plugs are different also.
The distributor plug is different. There is no knock sensor. And I guess the crank angle sensor is differen too (didn't know that).

Re: 2000 Civic Si and Ex have same wire harness? (fowler)
I know for a fact that the 5 speed ex's have a knock sensor from 96-00, as for the crank sensor, I am not sure. I am going to be using a Si harness for an ex, or should I say mini-me Y7-Y8. I guess if the only thing I have to do is change the plug for the crank sensor than I will be good. I guess someone will always trade me an EX for an Si harness worst case. I know it is easy to add wires but I am just getting lazy I guess. Dizzy is different too I guess.

96-00 single cam v tec's had knock sensors and there is no difference between the plugs. there is between 92-55 and 96-00. but a single cam v tec 96-98 ex harness will work with minimal modifications (i.e. the knock sensor and lengthening a few wires) with an 99-00 si engine. the ecu is a different story. you'll need a p73 ecu.

Should work perfect.
Except for maybe the crank angle sensor plug.
