2 tire questions
First, i have bumps on the side of my tires. They are used and I put them on my new rims. The shop that installed them said that this is fine, but will not pass inspection. Do you guys know how big of a problem these bumps are? They came off wheels that were damaged from potholes.
2nd question: Right now, I have kumho ecsta supras on 17" wheels.... they seem to pull wherever the road is sloped. Do all directional and low-profile tires do this??

If by bumps you mean swollen portions of sidewall then it's an immediate issue and you should have them changed right away. Coupled with the knowledge that these tires came off of damaged rims, it's pretty easy to diagnose that the sidewalls have been involved in some kind of impact that has degraded their ability to perform under load. Driving with them is dangerous seeing as the sidewall is supporting the weight of your car.

The wider the tire, the worse it tracks; the shorter the sidewall the worse it tracks; the stickier the tire the worse it tracks. Ditch power steering and it won't be as much of a problem. Barring that simple solution, get different tires.

Re: 2 tire questions (adictionbass)
Same thing happened on my falkens. I didn't think it would be a big problem. A week later I was working on my engine and I decided to get a new tire since I was going to the race shop. I went to wash my hands and when I came back the tire was flat. Went from full to flat in a few minutes and it seemed to do it for no reason.

The bumps on the tires are broken belts. So it would defonelty be a good idea to get some new ones. I dont know what shop said it was fine but I wouldnt go back to them. I have had several sets of 17's and they all pulled when the road was sloped (and sometimes when it wasnt) so that is normal.
