1st gear pops out. why?
i went to the track last thursday. got some pretty shitty times cause alomst every run i had my trannie would just pop out of first gear. i dropped it at like 3500 rpms and it just pops out.
i think its either:
1. new motor mounts
2. better suspension
i want to get this problem fixed so i can put down some reasonable times.
oh btw its a 01 gsr motor in a 99 civic.

it could be a couple things. your shift linkage could be bent slightly, there are detent ***** that hold the shifter in whatever gear you select and those ***** could be screwed up. have you had any work done on your tranny lately?

If your mounts are really messed up the motor could torque, move the shift linkage and pop it out of gear. Does this happen on normal driving or just launching?

Before you go out and buy a whole new tranny check the Clutch Master Cylinder.
Mine did the same thing too and after i replaced the Clutch MC everything was good.

this only happens when i launch at pretty high rpms if like 3500 but i think 3000 is okay. i dont think there is a leak but i will check today.
so if its the fork. i have to buy a whole new tranny or just the linkage?
