1999 ex shifting problems. any help thanks =)
hey HT i have a 99 civic ex. its an automatic, just recently when i start my car and shift it from Park to a gear, it shifts really hard. and engine moves(engine mounts maybe). also when i get into gear i ant start from D4. have to start from 2nd and work my way up kinda like a standard. not really sure what could be. any help would be great thanks

haha ya first thing i did, everythings perfect. been reading stuff about the tourqe converter solinoid but not to familiar with the tranny so not so positive.

This is normally a sign of an upcoming electrical problem or total transmission failure. I cant remember of the top of my head how it all works but its not a honda thing more like an automatic thing. My friend had a saturn that started doing this then the electrical went to crap and you had to hold the unlock button to start the car lol no joke. But on those civic there is a common sensor that goes out of the transmissions thats kinda pricy. I would take it to the shop if your to worried about it.
