OK, I am a newbie to the Del Sol, any and all help appreciated. The other week my windows (all three) stopped rolling up/down on my 1997 Del Sol. I checked the fuses and they looked fine, and I noticed all three controls in the switch will cause a "click" to happen in the power window control (loud audible clicking noise.) Found the window control unit tucked under the passenger side carpet, clearly been worked on before

Checked to make sure harness in/out of control unit looked good, etc. Ordered new control unit for $20ish, replaced it, and the windows rolled up/down for about 30 seconds then stopped again, dragged to a halt, back to "click" only. I have perused all forums I can find on the subject, any help appreciated. Thanks!

I literally just had the same problem with my 93 Sol.

The windows stopped working with no warning one day and then, about 6 months later, they just started working again. Been working fine for a few months now.

I think we've got a loose wire in there somewhere that jostles in and out from bumps but I haven't been able to track it down. :/

I put power windows in my hatch and when I first put them in the ground wasn't screwed in well, so sometimes it would cause the windows stop working, just a suggestion

Thanks guys, s13hero, sounds like a good place to look. Can anyone point me to the ground that would be affected for the power windows on the 97 Sol? Thanks.

have you checked fuses, relays, power to switch, grounding etc.. its where i would start.
