Default 1997 Civic LX switch front and rear o2 sensors?

my car has the d16y7 and i just put on a new exhaust manifold since the old one was cracked to hell. when i took out the o2 sensors to switch them to the new one, i noticed the front one is a tad bit @$%#@# up. the rear one is in perfect condition. I know i should get a new one, but the autoparts stores are closed right now and i dont get paid till friday. would it hurt anything if i took the rear one and switched it with the front one? it looks like they have the same wires and plugs but just wanted to make sure it would be ok to do before i do it. thanks

mine thru a cel when putting the primary o2 sensor in the secondary plug, but then again i went to autozone got a universal and plugged it in the secondary and have universal in the primary so try it? if it dont work ul get a cel. most likely it will throw a cel due to resistance being different

nah..you'll have to drive around for atleast an hour to get the ecu to throw a CEL (IF it's going to throw a CEL). that's how long it took for mine atleast when i had the same issue. unless you HAVE to get the car inspected or something..just wait til you have the money and buy a new one. you'll be ok.

its not going to kill you're mileage i drove around on a bad secondary sensor for like a month..month and a half at most. you'll be alright, but do get it fixed...CELs are annoying to look at.
