CEL help please...what is the trick to getting the rear O2 heater CEL to stay off???
Just as the title states I am stuck at a critical point here...I am unable to pass the emissions test for my state since my CEL light is on for the rear O2 heater.
What I have done so far (car is a 98 Integra):
1) Replaced old 02 with a new universal = CEL
2) Check wires and switched the heater wires to see what would happen = CEL
3) Got a stock plug to make sure I had a tight fit, checked wires again = CEL w/ both old and new O2
4) I disconnected the heater wires from the harness and then ran new wires from the front O2 heater wires to the rear O2 harness (basically using the front O2 heater wires to heat my rear O2, but keeping the rear O2 signal and ground wires)= NO CEL
Now here is where it gets interesting...with this set up when I turn my ignition off...the car stays running...???!!!???...
Any ideas how to correct this problem??? Any resistors I can use??? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Well, after hours of wire searching and diaghram reading...I have found continuity in all my wires...and no signal for the rear O2 from the ECU...funny how the car runs great except for the useless rear O2...
