Had my other engine spin a rod and so I just went and bougth another d16y8 and reswapped
and then when I got it all pieced swapped in and then I started itup it ran like a champ idles all nice then when I tried to drive it (my slave cylinder went out before the swap when the old motor was out someone pressed the clutch and popped the Slave cylinder busted) so when I tried to drive I Coudnt get in in reverse and then it stalled out I cranked it up agian it started and once agian I started then when i gave it gas the third time when it was running the Rpms acted up and the car stalled and then I couldn't start it due to the slave being all messed up so I bougth a new one next day put it on got the pedal feeling all good a firm and now it doensnt start I have no clue what is up with it any help guys will be great

More facts the other motor was a d15b block with d16y8 head and now I got a d16y8 and also when I try to crank it the speed gage bounces up and down if that helps

No start basics
  1. Does the starter crank the engine?
  2. Does the fuel pump prime?
  3. Is there bright white spark at all 4 plugs?
  4. Any CEL codes thrown?

Answer all of these questions.

Yes CEL have to check, but the cel was on ever since the old motor and it was for the o2 sensors

And sorry I was writing his when I was trying to start the car was not paying attention what I was typing
But I jut don't get why won't it start up agian like it started up . But then it won't

Turn key from off to ON(II). Do you hear the low humming noise of the fuel pump priming for 2 seconds?

When the CEL is always on, you don't know whether a new code is thrown. You won't encounter this problem if you fix all CEL codes, which is the smart thing to do anyway.

I will check the codes and I will see if the fuel pump primes

Check whether fuse 15 is blown.

Okay the fuel pump primes I'll check the fuse.
I get fuel and good fuel pressure.
I also get spark
And I get air
And when I try to crank it it feels like it's about to fire up. But then I doesn't but the headers get a little hot....... Dang this sucks lol first swap and it fails

Do the injectors spray fuel?

Are the plug wires installed in the correct firing order?

Is the mechanical timing correct?

Do the cylinders have good and similar compression?

Yes the park plugs are in correct firing order.
Yes the mechanic timing is good and the dizzy is timed to.
Like the first time it cranked up and ran fine warmed up and idles 750.
Then I stalled out due to bad Slave cylinder. I cranked it up 3 times the first day I dropped then engine In. Then my slave went out and I couldn't start the car. So I got a new slave cylinder installed it and bled the system and all. Tried to crank it and it does not want to start.

You are selectively answering some questions and not others and your answers are too terse:

Convince me of the firing order.
Post pictures of the cam and crank at TDC1.
Injectors spray fuel? Test whether the engine fires with starting fluid.
Compression test the cylinders.

I'll check the cylinder compression and post results.how would I start it work starting fluid. I'm kinda new to this whole scene but willing to learn any way posible. Let's just say bougth my civic when I was about to turn 18 still in school just got into this whole scene

Remove intake and spray into the throttle body.

Yes it fires up with the starter spray

And about the codes this is what I got

And the spark it's not like normal, it skips a few pulses

And the fuel injectors don't open to spray

You think it may be my ECU gone bad ??

The ECU is possibly bad, but do these first:

Voltage test 7.5A hood fuse 43 and 7.5A dash fuse 15.

You'll find fuse box diagrams in the FAQs sticky. This will help you locate fuse 43. Then voltage test fuses 15 and 43.

Unless I see test results that say otherwise, I'll assume the fuses are blown or are not getting voltage.
