Default 1995 Civic Sedan EX Master Cylinder leakage. I've a few questions.

Okay. So I noticed while driving there at times, there is a VERY slight fade in the brake pedal. It does NOT go to the floor, just it will give a very small amount when held or pressed hard. I can release and let it back up, step on it again ands its fine. I asked our techs and was told that the seals are probably old and its leaking slightly, he said its sort of a common thing with hondas. I also noticed like a sort of leak beneath it too. So, what are your guys's ideas? Is this easy to fix? I'd love to do it myself, to save the labor charge. Does the whole thing need to go? or just the seals hes talking about.

I'm off to do some searching on this subject.
Thanks in advance.

I should also add shes got 210k on her, and I don't know when the MC or the seals were last checked.

Rebuild kits? Money is kind of tight at the moment, I might just look into that for a temp fix.

Okay, I had a closer look when I had the time, and there is like a film of brakefluid, like old leakage where the master cylinder bolts to the brake booster. Today the pedal was slightly worse, going to the floor in about 5-6 seconds after braking, I'd let it up and it'd be firm again, then about 10 seconds later, be at the floor. Its okay during normal driving, just sitting holding the brakes, it sinks.
