Re: 15x7 40 offset or 35 (_Creager)
If you could get either, get the 40's. You would have less clearance problems with the fenders.
I had to roll the front fenders slightly to stop the rubbing.

i think if you don't run bigger the 205/50 up to like 41-43mm offset is good
alot of autocross guys run 35mm offset with 225/45/15's. but you have to do some work to your fenders so they don't rub

On 94 Coupe I have 15X7 +35 mm offset and 205-50's. Stock springs, GSR 14 mm sway bar and AGX shocks on the rear. Front tires extend out of the fender wells but do not rub. Rear tires don't appear to extend out of the fender wells but will rub when I get passengers in the back with aggressive cornering, dips at high speed or driveway approaches to streets. Rubs on outside edge of tires. Next time around I'll do 195-55's that will also make the speedo more accurate.

Re: 15x7 40 offset or 35 (94CoupeEJ1)
do you mean 195/50/15?
i'm my calculations are correct the 195/55's are going to have a 5mm larger radius then the 205/50's.

Re: 15x7 40 offset or 35 (hybridmoments)
Factory speedo is very inaccurate. Factory tire size was 185-60-14. 205-50-15's are also too small and show 4-5 mph too high at 75 mph. When you have to put the dial on 80 mph to actually go 75 it's aggravating. 195-55-15's should correct the problem and give better steering feel to boot. Too bad they cost more.
