i could POSSIBLY see a 14.1-5 in a stock LS with bolt ons and tuning, in a FULLY STRIPPED hatch with an Si tranny with a christian-rado-like driver, but i cannot see a 13.7 unless he's spraying on that stock motor......just my .02

Jerome Soh hit 13.6 with an LS i/h/e and stripped hatch. Oh yeah it was on street tires

And other parts with undisclosed specs.

On a side not what does your reaction time have to do with what size engine you have? .51 rt for a 4 cylinder???????WTF ....last time i checked r/t was exactly that ..your reaction time .........
my reaction time will be the same if i'm driving a 73 nova ss or a 03 civic si

I don't believe it. Probably wounldn't believe unless I knew the driver personally, sure it may be possible, but for the VAST majority of cases, I would say no.

here is a quote that littleredcivic posted about his car.
"the motor i use is a non-vtec , no spray, no boost small stock internal 1.8 that was rated at a meager 140. if you are a real racer, tuner, innovator... show me how you can make a 13.9 on street tires, stock exhaust, and less than $5000. "
"but the bottom line is, stock bottom, no head porting, no spray, no boost, no lsd, stock fuel mechanicals."
"THE INTERNALS ARE STOCK> crank, rods, pistons, head flow, compression. NO LIE. just in tuning alone, you can extract a lot of power. oh, the other thing i heard... NO JUICE, NO FUEL MECHANIC UPGRADES, NO LSD, NO VTEC. someone said that i put a LS valve cover on a VTEC head."
"yes, the rs akimoto intake with generic filter goes to a stock 1995 b18b intake manifold, then goes into a stock 1995 b18b head which has dual valve springs, ti retainers, and my proprietary spec cam, into a block that rotates a stock crank, pushing on the stock rods that push on the stock slugs. all that turns the stock crank puley, and the stock flywheel, which grabs the clutchmaster clutch which is hooked up to a stock 2000 SIR trans without LSD that turns the GSR axles and the LS wheels with crusty old tires.HONDATA!

I live in fairbanks but i will be going to anchorage for the memorial day drags and will let you guys know what he runs and try to take pics of this.
there are a lot of us going down to anchorage for that weekend so i will take lots of pics.

ahh the plot thickens........

so, a b18b1 with cam(s), springs, retainers, and tuning via Hondata (s200?), and SiR tranny..........

if the hatch only had a dash and a driver seat, possibly a street/strip clutch, i could see 13.9's.....with a damn good driver........but a BONE STOCK LS with i/h/e, no
